Senior Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Darby Overseas Investments Ltd.
Sean Wallace is the Senior Managing Director of Asia Pacific Operations at Darby Overseas Investments Ltd., the private equity investment arm of Franklin Templeton that manages more than $560 billion in assets. Wallace joined Darby in April 2007 and is responsible for leading and managing the Asia Pacific operations, including assisting in two existing fund-raising efforts, building the private equity investment team in Asia and driving other development and investing opportunities for Darby in the region. He previously was a managing director at JP Morgan, where he spent almost six years, most recently as head of capital markets, Asia Pacific, and co-head of investment banking, Asia Pacific Ex-Japan. As a business leader for JP Morgan in Asia, Wallace was responsible for designing and implementing a broad restructuring of the investment banking and capital markets teams post the mergers of Chase, JP Morgan, Jardine Fleming and subsequently BancOne. Wallace received a bachelor's degree in history and economics from Harvard College and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
