Miguel Kiguel is Director of Econviews, an economic and financial advisor to major corporations and financial institutions in Argentina and abroad. Additionally, he is a consultant with Latin American governments and multilateral institutions, including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the InterAmerican Development bank and the Bank for International Settlements. Previously, he was president of Banco Hipotecario S.A. from 2001 to 2003; undersecretary of finance and chief advisor to the minister of the economy of Argentina (1996-1999); deputy general manager for economics and finance at the Central Bank of Argentina (1994-1996); principal economist at the World Bank (1987-1994); and an associate at the Institute for International Economics in Washington, D.C. (1983-1985). He teaches at Universidad Di Tella in Buenos Aires and is a member of the advisory board of El Cronista Comercial. From 1983 through 1987, he was an adjunct professor at Georgetown University and taught at CEMA University, also in Buenos Aires. Kiguel received a degree in economics from the University of Buenos Aires and a Ph.D. from Columbia University.
