Deputy Minister of International Trade, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada
Marie-Lucie Morin is Deputy Minister of International Trade for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, a position she assumed after serving as associate deputy minister of foreign affairs. Morin previously held the positions assistant deputy minister, international business and chief trade commissioner, as well as director general of international business development policy and planning. Her career has also encompassed postings in San Francisco, Jakarta, London and Moscow. In 1997 she was appointed Canada's ambassador to Norway, with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Iceland. Morin attended the College de Sherbrooke and the Université de Sherbrooke, graduating with her licentiate in laws.
