T. Colin Campbell

T. Colin Campbell is the Jacob Gould Schurman Professor in the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University. His principal scientific interests have been on the effects of nutritional status on long-term health, particularly on the causation of cancer. He has conducted original research both in laboratory experiments and in large-scale human studies, and has received more than 70 grant-years of peer-reviewed research funding (mostly NIH). He has also served on several grant review panels of multiple funding agencies and has authored more than 300 research papers. His most recent book is The China Study: Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-Term Health. Campbell spent 10 years on the faculty of Virginia Tech's Department of Biochemistry and Nutrition before returning in 1975 to the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell. He is on the board of directors of the Chinese Institute of Nutritional Sciences and holds an honorary professorship at the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine. Campbell received his Ph.D. in nutrition, biochemistry and microbiology from Cornell.
