Shelley Smith
Vice President, Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System
Shelley Smith is Vice President of the Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System (LACERS). She has been an elected trustee of LACERS for 12 years. She is also assistant city attorney for the City of Los Angeles and president of the Los Angeles City Attorneys Association. Smith also serves as chair of the Los Angeles Deferred Compensation Board and co-chair of the board of directors of the Council of Institutional Investors. In addition, she is treasurer and board member of the Pacific Pension Institute and a member of the executive committee of the labor and employment law section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Smith earned a J.D. at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.
