Adrian Chan is a Web and Social Interaction Designer for Gravity7, an award-winning web-site development firm based in San Francisco. A Web 2.0 consultant and user experience expert, Chan is currently engaged in an effort to define and advance "social interaction design," a combination of user interface, experience and interaction design with social interaction and communication theories. The field merges his expertise as a web developer for 10 years with his ongoing passion for theoretical approaches to social interaction, media, language, psychology and anthropology. Chan has been a web developer since 1995. Prior to that, he was a content producer for CD-Rom projects that included game and educational titles. He has written a number of curriculum units for use in high school social studies and was the content designer for the laser disc teachers' edition of Ken Burns' Civil War. Chan graduated with honors from Stanford University.
