Jeremy Bulow is the Richard A. Stepp Professor of Economics at Stanford Business School and a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. From 1998 through 2001, he worked at the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as director of the Bureau of Economics, where he had oversight of the bureau's role in providing economic analyses of FTC consumer protection and antitrust activities. Co-editor of the American Economics Review, he is currently researching a variety of topics, including pension funds, sovereign debt, auctions and tobacco. Bulow has served as a consultant to such government agencies as the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., the World Bank and the Federal Reserve. He is a Fellow of The Econometric Society and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Bulow received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in economics from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in economics from MIT.
