Jonathan Spalter is a Principal with the Dewey Square Group, a cutting-edge public affairs consulting firm. Spalter has held senior roles at the media and entertainment group Vivendi Universal, based at its global headquarters in Paris. He was executive vice president in charge of business development and strategy at Vivendi Universal Net, the group's Internet subsidiary, where he focused on digital distribution of the group's music, publishing, film assets and mobile Internet services. In this position, he helped drive group revenues to $200 million and established Vivendi Universal's Internet properties among the 10 most visited sites worldwide. He also was appointed CEO of Atmedica Worldwide SA, the global health publishing group, and led the division to market leadership in Asia and Europe. He was promoted to serve as group senior vice president, coordinating the company's global regulatory and corporate affairs teams, and developing anti-piracy initiatives. He received a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and a master's degree in international relations from the University of Cambridge.
