David Blake
Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income, Principal Global Investors
David Blake is the Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income at Principal Global Investors. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing fixed-income portfolio management and research across all major fixed-income market sectors, including global credit, government securities, and mortgage- and asset-backed securities. These capabilities draw upon the expertise of more than a hundred fixed-income professionals, with research coverage of debt markets in 50-plus countries. Blake joined the firm in 2000. Previously, he was a senior fixed-income portfolio manager with Boatmen's Capital Management and its predecessor, Boatmen's Trust Company, where he began his career in 1989. He holds the chartered financial analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. Blake earned his bachelor's degree and MBA at Saint Louis University.
