Frederic Brace
Executive Vice President, CFO and Chief Restructuring Officer, UAL Corp.
Frederic Brace is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Restructuring Officer with UAL Corp. and United Airlines, its principal subsidiary company. He is responsible for treasury, tax, budgets, financial planning and analysis, internal audits, accounting and external financial reporting. He is also responsible for corporate real estate, mergers and acquisitions, fleet planning, fuel purchasing and business development. Previously, he was United's executive vice president and CFO, senior vice president and CFO, and senior vice president of finance. Prior to joining United, he served in a variety of financial management positions with American Airlines. Brace currently serves on the board of directors for SIRVA, a relocation services company, and as a trustee for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. He also served on the board of directors for Equant, GetThere.com and Galileo, and was chairman of the board of United Airlines Employees' Credit Union. Brace earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering at the University of Michigan and an MBA at the University of Chicago.
