Speaker's Biography:
William Hauck
President, California Business Roundtable
William Hauck has been President and CEO of the California Business Roundtable since 1996. This Sacramento-based organization, which is composed of the chief executive and senior operating officers of major corporations doing business in the state, aims to provide policy leadership regarding the maintenance of a sound economy and business climate in California. Hauck previously served as executive vice president of Information for Public Affairs Inc., a Sacramento-based national information services company. He has also held a number of positions in state government, including deputy chief of staff to the governor, chief of staff to two Assembly speakers and director of the Assembly Office of Research. Hauck also chaired the state's Constitution Revision Commission and was co-chair of the California Performance Review Commission. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the California State University system, where he chairs the Board Finance Committee, and serves on the boards of Blue Shield of California and the Blue Shield of California Foundation. Hauck graduated from San Jose State University.
