Speaker's Biography:
Nancy McFadden
Senior Vice President, Public Affairs, PG&E Corporation
Nancy McFadden is Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for the PG&E Corporation, where she is responsible for managing government relations and philanthropic and community initiatives. Before joining PG&E, McFadden spent nearly two decades as a legal, policy and political strategist in Washington, D.C., and Sacramento, most recently as senior advisor and deputy chief of staff to Governor Gray Davis. She served for eight years in the Clinton administration as deputy chief of staff to Vice President Al Gore and general counsel for the U.S. Department of Transportation. McFadden started her career practicing law with the firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLP; during her tenure there, she was named "One of the 40 Best Lawyers Under 40" by Washingtonian magazine. McFadden serves on the California Medical Assistance Commission, the agency that negotiates MediCal contracts with hospitals and health plans. She received a bachelor's degree from San Jose State University and a law degree from the University of Virginia.
