Uwe Parpart
Senior Director, Commercial Intelligence
Uwe Parpart is senior director at the international law and consulting firm Commercial Intelligence (CI) Pte Ltd, which is based in London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. As such, he is responsible for corporate and bank restructuring and debt management. He is also a columnist and contributing editor for Forbes Global magazine. He previously served as editor of the East Asian business and finance newspaper Asia Times. Born and educated in Germany, Parpart completed his graduate work in mathematics and philosophy as a Fulbright scholar at Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania.
Before relocating to Asia in the early 1980s, Parpart pursued a teaching career at the University of Pennsylvania and Swarthmore College.
