Brian Farrell
President & CEO, THQ Inc.
Brian Farrell is Chairman, President and CEO of THQ, one of the fastest growing interactive entertainment publishers in the world. Under his leadership, THQ reported record revenues of $641 million for fiscal 2004 and boasts a three-year compound annual growth rate of 24 percent. Farrell has grown THQ’s global marketing and distribution force to directly serve more than 50 countries worldwide. His tenure at THQ also includes expanding THQ’s internal development network with strategic studio acquisitions including Relic Entertainment, Rainbow Studios and Volition, Inc. Farrell has guided THQ to market leadership in the popular gaming genres with leading licenses, including World Wrestling Entertainment, Nickelodeon, Disney/Pixar and many more. THQ is also enhancing its product offering with original content such as Destroy All Humans, Full Spectrum Warrior; MX Unleashed, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl and Tak and the Power of Juju. Farrell is chairman of the Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Farrell joined THQ in 1991, as vice president, CFO and treasurer, and was elected to his current position in January 1995. Previously, he was vice president and CFO of Hotel Investors, and employed by Deloitte & Touche LLP. Farrell earned his bachelor's at Stanford University and his MBA at the University of California, Los Angeles.
