Speaker's Biography:
Imam Ali Siddiqui Khatib, Muslim Congregational Leader
Imam Ali Siddiqui is President of the Inter-Faith Association of Norco-Corona (CA), Principal of Al-Furqan School, Islamic Society of Corona/Norco and a guest lecturer. With 33 years of service, he is a Friday Khatib, Islamic teacher, Muslim chaplain, poet and writer who teaches Islam, comparative religion, history and contemporary issues to Muslims and non-Muslims. His community service includes spiritual/educational development, service to the sick and the incarcerated. He has been on speaking tours to Great Britain, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Iran, Pakistan and across the USA. Siddiqui frequently presents the Islamic perspective and Muslim point of view on current affairs. He has received many commendations for his work, service and scholarship, including the title of Imam in 1994, Islamic Teacher in 1982, 2000 and 2004, the Community Leadership Award in given by Human Relation Council, and the Distinguished Service Award given by the United Nations Association.
