Speaker's Biography:
Chris Gopal
Vice President, Global Supply Chain Management Practice, Unisys
Chris Gopal is Vice President, Global Supply Chain Management Practice, Unisys. In this position he focuses on providing end-to-end solutions among Unisys clients′ entire e-supply chain. He joined Unisys from Telseon, Inc., where he was the CIO for this service provider of business-to-business commerce infrastructure and meta-logistics. Before joining Telseon, Gopal was the director of the National and Global Supply Chain Practice at Ernst & Young. While there, he built it into Ernst & Young′s largest functional practice in the U.S. and created new methods to fuse information systems and technology management with strategic and operational supply chain management consulting. Prior to this, he was vice president of Operational Strategy and Process Reengineering, Worldwide Operations, at Dell Computer Corporation where he improved the worldwide demand supply process, inventory deployment and logistics, and spearheaded the definition and selection of worldwide chain partners. Gopal is author of Supercharging Supply Chains: New Ways to Increase Value Through Global Operations Excellence. He earned his Ph.D. in Strategy and Operations Management at the University of Southern California.
