Since 1999, our annual State of the State Conference has convened California's most influential leaders to solve crucial challenges. Building on this legacy, we are proud to announce the inaugural Milken Institute Summit in California, which will carry the conversation and the momentum forward.
The Summit will bring together hundreds of California's leading business executives and policymakers for a full day of debate and problem-solving. Combining formal plenaries with smaller breakout sessions and interactive working groups, it will offer an effective platform for generating solutions and forging partnerships that can lay the groundwork for economic growth and allow us to invest in our long-term priorities. Despite the challenges we face, California still has priceless assets on which to build. It is a gateway for international trade with Asia and a magnet for some of the world's most talented human capital. This is a state that produces iconic companies and game-changing innovations.
The Milken Institute Summit in California starts from the premise that we can draw on those qualities to make the state a bastion of opportunity once again. This high-level event will unite leaders from the public and private sectors around a shared desire to take up our challenges and build a more prosperous future.
