Speaker's Biography:

Michael Mandel
Economics Editor, Business Week (New York)

Michael Mandel is the economics editor at Business Week. Mandel played a key role in defining the notion of the New Economy and showed how information technology replaced autos and housing as the main driving force for growth in the U.S. He won the Gerald Loeb Award for his New Economy coverage and was named one of the 100 top U.S. business journalists of the 20th century.

Mandel’s Ph.D. in economics is from Harvard University.
