Speaker's Biography:

Scott  Syphax Scott Syphax
President and CEO, Nehemiah Corporation

Scott Syphax is President and CEO of Nehemiah Corporation of America (NCA) based in Sacramento, California. NCA is one of the largest community development corporations in the country with more than $190 million in annual revenue. Syphax is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of NCA, which is committed to creating economic opportunities through homeownership. Syphax, a native of Detroit, is a former manager of public affairs for Eli Lilly & Company, and was previously associate director of the California Medical Association, former director of the California Medical Association and former director of the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences. He is also chairman of the Financial Solvency Board of the California State Department of Managed Health Care, and serves on the Board of Sutter Health Care Systems and the Sacramento County Civil Service Commission. Syphax earned his B.Sc. in business with an emphasis on real estate development and land use planning at California State University, Sacramento.
