U.S. Overview: Can Growth Continue?

Tuesday, October 13, 2015 / 10:15 am - 11:15 am

The U.S. economy, buoyed by employment gains and declining energy prices, continues to advance. But will it last? There are reasons for optimism. The housing market is healthy and key trade agreements, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership, are on track for approval. The Federal Reserve has expressed confidence that growth will continue, and most observers expect it to raise interest rates before year’s end. Amid the optimism, though, questions remain. What will a rate hike mean for equities and emerging economies, two beneficiaries of near-zero rates? And how might modest increases affect residential home sales? Join this panel for a discussion of these issues and more.
