Damian Lillicrap is head of investment strategy at QSuper, where his responsibilities include guiding asset allocation and managing investment risk. Previously, he was head of portfolio design for QIC’s investment strategy team, where he focused on QIC’s core clients: QSuper and Queensland Treasury. At QIC and QSuper, he was the primary architect of asset-allocation strategies that defensively positioned portfolios before the global financial crisis and aggressively positioned them before the rally that began in March 2009. His other financial experience includes roles with Macquarie Bank, CBA Institutional Banking and Credit Suisse Financial Products. Lillicrap began his career as a chemical engineer, during which time he earned a Graduate Diploma of Accounting. He is the author of “Kitchen Table Economics & Investing,” released in 2013.
