Paul Chew is a cardiologist and Chief Medical Officer for Omada Health, a digital therapeutics company which combines innovative design, technology, and social support to prevent chronic disease. He and his team ensure that Omada's clinical programs are based on sound clinical science and research. Prior to his current position he was in the global pharmaceutical industry for 24 years, most recently serving as Sr. VP, Global Chief Medical Officer in Paris for Sanofi Pharmaceuticals as well as US R&D Head. At Sanofi, he was responsible for global medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance, and global medical information with teams in more than 100 countries. He has conducted impactful clinical research with a particular focus in diabetes and cardiovascular disease. He has been a member of the Roundtable for Value and Science Driven Healthcare, National Academy of Medicine; External Advisory Board for the Gillings School of Public Health, UNC; Trustee, BioNJ; International Advisory Board, Center VirchowVillerme, Paris Berlin. Paul received his MD from Johns Hopkins.
