Representative Director and Senior Managing Director, Japan Bank for International Cooperation
Tadashi Maeda is representative director and senior managing director of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation. At JBIC, he has held various positions including head of delegation to the OECD Trade Finance Committee; director-general of the energy and natural resources finance department, director-general of corporate planning; and managing executive officer and global head of the infrastructure finance group. He has also served as a special advisor to the cabinet, and as a member of the Japanese government's steering committee on nuclear damage liability facilitation in the aftermath of the Fukushima nuclear crisis. Maeda was also vice chairman of the research center for financial cooperation in Northeast Asia at the Nankai University in China. He has authored or coauthored four books, including most recently "The Strategic Deployment of Japan's Infrastructure to the World." Maeda is a graduate of the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law.
