Leader Writer and Columnist, The Times of London
Oliver Kamm is chief economics leader writer and a columnist for The Times. He joined the newspaper in 2008 and has written extensively on the financial crisis and its economic implications. He has also written for The New York Times, Prospect, the New Statesman, the Jewish Chronicle and elsewhere, and is a frequent broadcast commentator on the global economy and foreign affairs. Before moving to The Times, he worked for more than 20 years in the financial services sector. In 2004, he co-founded WMG Advisers LLP, an asset management and advisory firm. From 1997 to 2004, he was head of strategic research for Commerzbank Securities and advisor on business strategy for investment banking to the board of Commerzbank AG. From 1993 to 1997, he was European equity strategist for HSBC Securities. After studying at the University of Oxford and the University of London, he began his career at the Bank of England.
