Former Prime Minister, Pakistan
Shaukat Aziz is the former prime minister of Pakistan. Serving from 2004 to 2007, he became the nation's first prime minister to complete a full term in office. During his tenure, Pakistan saw high economic growth, increased per capita income, a reduction in poverty, a surge in investments, and improved debt levels and economic indicators. Before serving as prime minister, he spent five years as finance minister. Before entering government, Aziz held several positions in his 30 years at Citi, including chief executive of its global wealth management business and executive vice president. A member of several boards and advisory boards for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations, he speaks frequently on such topics as structural reforms, diplomacy, geopolitics and security. Aziz graduated from Gordon College, Rawalpindi, and received his M.B.A. from the Institute of Business Administration, then at the University of Karachi.
