Randall Lane

Randall Lane is the editor of Forbes Magazine, where he has helped it reach its highest-ever U.S. readership, according to GfK MRI. Since returning to Forbes in 2011, he has created two of the company's signature events: the Forbes 400 Summit on Philanthropy, which gathers the world's richest, most influential people to tackle intractable global problems, and the Under 30 Summit. Lane previously spent more than a decade as an entrepreneur, co-founding and serving as editor-in-chief of half a dozen magazines and related websites. He was also an editor-at-large at the Daily Beast and Newsweek and has consulted on public diplomacy for the U.S. State Department. Lane is author of "The Zeroes: My Misadventures in the Decade Wall Street Went Insane" and the Forbes compilation "You Only Have to Be Right Once: The Unprecedented Rise of the Instant Tech Billionaire." He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the board of the Global Citizen/Global Poverty Project.
