Josh Barro
Correspondent, New York Times

Josh Barro is a correspondent for the New York Times, where he writes for the Upshot, a Times politics and policy site. He writes mostly about economic issues, from fiscal policy and labor markets to trends in fresh fruit consumption. Barro is also a contributor and frequent guest host on MSNBC, where he also hosts "Three Cents," a weekly Web show about business and the economy. Before joining the Times, he wrote for Business Insider and Bloomberg View and was a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research. Before that, he was a commercial real estate banker at Wells Fargo, working on construction financing when the market was good and problem loan workouts when it was not. Barro has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Harvard.
