A.B.C. Orjiako

Chairman, Seplat Petroleum Development Co. Plc


A.B.C. (Bryant) Orjiako is co-founder and chairman of Seplat Petroleum Development Co. Plc, a leading Nigerian independent oil and gas company. Under his leadership, the company has increased production exponentially, provided well-received social investment programs and become the first Nigerian company to list simultaneously on the London and Nigerian stock exchanges. Previously, after 11 years of active medical practice, Orjiako established and managed companies in the upstream and downstream energy sectors and cultivated business interests in construction, real estate development, pharmaceuticals and shipping. He founded the Daniel Orjiako Memorial Foundation in honor of his late father, Chief Daniel Orjiako. The DOMF is committed to breaking the poverty cycle in rural Nigeria through education, health care and agriculture. Orjiako qualified as a medical practitioner at the College of Medical Sciences, University of Calabar, Nigeria. He later qualified as a general surgeon, sub-specializing in orthopedics and traumatology.
