Co-Founder, AR Capital
William Kahane is a co-founder of AR Capital. He has been active in the structuring and financial management of commercial real estate investments for nearly 40 years. Kahane is former CEO of RCS Capital and holds or has held board positions for several of the companies AR Capital sponsors. He was a trustee at American Financial Realty Trust and on the board of Catellus Development Corp., where he served for two years as non-executive chairman. Previously, he was a managing director in the investment banking department of Morgan Stanley, specializing in real estate. Kahane began his career in 1974 as a real estate lawyer, practicing in the public and private sectors. He is a trustee of Temple Emanu-El in New York. He received a B.A. from Occidental College, a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, Law School, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
