David M. Coleal took on the role of president of Bombardier Business Aircraft on June 15, 2015. Prior to this appointment, he was executive vice president and general manager, Boeing, business, and regional jet programs, at Spirit Aerosystems, one of the world’s largest producers of aerostructures. In that position, he improved productivity, reduced unit cost, and enhanced the company’s product portfolio as well as its overall performance. Before joining Spirit, Mr. Coleal was vice president and general manager of Bombardier Learjet from 2008 to 2011. During his tenure, he developed strong relationships with business aircraft customers and achieved operational improvements while enhancing service and reliability across product lines. Previously, he was president and chief operating officer of Cirrus Design Corporation from 2001 to 2008. He has held management positions throughout his career, including at McKinsey & Company, Caterpillar, and New United Motor Manufacturing (NUMMI).
