Matthew S. Collier is Senior Advisor to the Secretary for Strategic Partnerships at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of One World, a nonprofit leadership and character development organization based in New York. Originally from Michigan, Mr. Collier served as an Infantry Officer in the Army, held major elective public office, and has worked in the private sector for over 20 years. He holds degrees from the United States Military Academy at West Point as well as from Harvard University. After graduating from West Point and serving six years in the military, Mr. Collier was Chief of Staff for a U.S. Congressman and Mayor of Flint, Mich., from 1987 to 1991 in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer. Since that time, Mr. Collier has had executive roles with a variety of high technology companies. These assignments have included over 13 years of President & CEO experience, company ownership, and stints in both private and public companies.
