Maria Boyazny is the founder and CEO of MB Global Partners, a New York-based private equity firm focused on credit and special situations investing. MB Global runs capital on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, foundations, pension funds, insurance companies and family offices. Ms. Boyazny has been named as a Top Five most influential woman in alternative investing, among other recognitions. She is the author of several publications, a frequent conference speaker and media commentator for The Wall Street Journal, Fox Business, CNN, and Bloomberg TV, among others. Previously, Ms. Boyazny was a managing director and portfolio manager at Siguler Guff & Co. overseeing its flagship Distressed Opportunities Funds I, II, III and IV from inception to assets of $4.5 billion over 10 years. Over the years, Ms. Boyazny has served on the advisory boards of many leading asset management firms investing in the U.S., Asia and Europe. She earned her B.S. in economics and minor in mathematics from the Wharton School and M.B.A. from Columbia University.
