Chairman and CEO, Wynn Resorts
Steve Wynn is chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts Ltd., which has developed both Wynn and Encore at Wynn properties in Las Vegas and Macau, China. Previously, he was chairman, president and CEO of Mirage Resorts Inc. for 27 years, until its purchase by MGM in 2000. Wynn is widely credited with transforming Las Vegas into a world-renowned resort destination, having developed such properties as the Bellagio, the Mirage and Treasure Island. He was named one of the "World's Best CEOs," by Barron's in 2011 and one of the "World's Most Influential People" by Time magazine in 2006. The Association of Travel Marketing Executives honored him with its ATLAS Lifetime Achievement Award. Wynn is a member of the international advisory board of the John Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah and sits on the board of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He has been inducted into the American Gaming Association's Hall of Fame. Wynn received a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
