Tony Fratto is a partner at Hamilton Place Strategies (HPS) and a former deputy press secretary for the White House. Before helping found HPS, a communications consulting firm that solves complex public policy issues, Fratto worked at the White House as deputy assistant to the president and principal deputy press secretary, communicating policy issues to national and foreign media. Before that, he served at the U.S. Treasury, including as assistant secretary of the Treasury. In his combined work at the Treasury and White House, Fratto directed and participated in communications efforts in more than 60 countries. He serves on the boards of World Food Program USA and the Center for Global Development. He is a contributor to CNBC Business News Network and a member of the Bretton Woods Committee. Fratto holds a bachelor's in economics from the University of Pittsburgh and attended the university's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
