Speaker's Biography:

Laura Deal Lacey
Executive Director, Asia Center, Milken Institute

Laura Deal Lacey is the managing director of the Milken Institute Asia Center. Headquartered in Singapore, the Asia Center extends Institute activities and programs to the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining the Institute, Lacey was the executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, the largest American chamber in Southeast Asia. Lacey and her team organized 300 business events a year and released research and white papers on business and policy issues. Previously, Lacey worked at Edelman in New York, as global marketing director and earlier as vice president for its corporate social responsibility and sustainability practice. Prior to that, she held several roles at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, including senior partnership manager, head of corporate affairs and co-founder of WEF's Women Leaders Program aimed at increasing the participation of women leaders in the Davos conference. She also worked for Reuters in Geneva. Lacey holds a B.S. from Arizona State University and an M.S. from Columbia University.
