Nadia Roumani is the director of Stanford University's Effective Philanthropy Lab, and the senior designer of Stanford's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design's (the d.school) Civic Innovation Fellows Program. Nadia returned to Stanford in 2012 as an inaugural d.school fellow, and was then named the Walter and Esther Hewlett Design Fellow with Stanford PACS. Nadia works at the intersection of systems thinking, design thinking, strategic planning, and leadership development to help foundations and nonprofit increase their desired impact. She has facilitated design thinking strategy workshops for foundations, nonprofit organizations, and businesses around the world. Nadia is a serial social entrepreneur, previously co-launching several initiatives including the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute at USC, the Building Bridges Program at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and the Initiative for Policy Dialogue with Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz at Columbia University. She is a board member of the El Hibri Foundation.
