Tim is a passionate entrepreneur focused on delivering the next generation of therapeutics to rare disease patients in need. He is the founder and CEO of Healx Ltd and the co-founder and trustee of a charity named the Cambridge Rare Disease Network (CRDN). Healx is a tech startup focused on drug matching for rare and genetic diseases. Its technology platform combines machine learning and genomics to identify new potential treatments. Their unique patient-centric model allows them to integrate essential patient insights at the early stages of the drug discovery process. Healx was awarded Cambridge Graduate Business of the Year in 2016, Life Science Business of the Year in 2015 and was a UK Finalist at Pitch@Palace. The startup was covered in the Harvard Business Review about Innovative Business Models in 2016. Prior to Healx and CRDN, Tim obtained his PhD in biophysics and neuroscience at the University of Cambridge. His first degree was an MEng in bio-engineering.
