Adjunct Fellow, Milken Institute; Vice President, External Affairs, and Associate General Counsel, OnDeck
Daniel Gorfine is a Milken Institute adjunct fellow and vice president for external affairs and associate general counsel at OnDeck. His work focuses on law and public policy; government affairs; strategic communication and initiatives; and regulation in the context of financial technology and financial services. Previously, he was director of financial markets policy and legal counsel for the Institute, focusing on financial innovation, capital access and financial market issues and led work on innovative capital access tools and new financial technologies. Gorfine is a national media contributor on these topics. Before joining the Institute, Gorfine worked at the international law firm Covington & Burling LLP. Earlier, he served a clerkship with U.S. District Court Judge Catherine C. Blake in the District of Maryland. A graduate of Brown University, he holds an M.A. from the Paul H. Nitze School for Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
