Thomas Hyland is a co-founder and partner of Aspada, an early-stage venture capital fund in India that invests in innovative models in agricultural supply chains and logistics, financial services, healthcare and education. Anchored by the Soros Economic Development Fund, Aspada builds on the success of the earlier SONG Fund, an early-stage Indian fund anchored by the Soros Economic Development Fund, the Omidyar Network and Google. Hyland was one of the first employees of SeaChange Capital Partners, a social-sector financial intermediary founded by former senior partners of Goldman Sachs. Earlier he worked in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs in San Francisco and has worked and traveled extensively throughout India and Asia. He received his M.B.A. from the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India.
