Ricardo K. founded RK Partners, formerly known as Angra Partners Turnaround (since 2003), an advisory firm focused on financial and operational restructuring and turnarounds. Ricardo led several transformational restructuring assignments which included: Brasil Ferrovias, Eike Batista’s EBX Group (OGX, OSX and MMX), UTC, Galvão Engenharia, Estaleiro Atlântico Sul, Estaleiro Enseada, Rossi Residencial, Property Brasil and PDG, among others. He was the chief executive officer of Brasil Telecom from 2005 to 2009 (sold to Telemar/Oi in 2009), chief executive officer of Pegasus Telecom from 2000 to 2002 and chief executive officer of Bicicletas Caloi from 1997 to 1999. Ricardo started his career at Citibank and McKinsey & Company before launching his own company, MGDK & Associados, a restructuring and consulting firm later sold to the Monitor Group (now owned by Deloitte). Ricardo serves on the board of directors of NII Holdings (Nextel) and Vicunha Textil.
