Jason Grumet, founder and president of the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), is respected on both sides of the aisle for his innovative approach to improving government effectiveness and impacting public policy. Under his leadership, BPC harnesses the power of collaboration and advances politically viable solutions to major national policy challenges. Most recently in the 114th Congress, BPC successfully impacted legislation to advance development of life-saving medical treatments; remove arbitrary barriers to exporting oil; modernize regulations on toxic chemicals; strengthen Medicare; and extend the Children's Health Insurance Program. Grumet regularly authors commentaries and editorials for national publications, appears on network news broadcasts, and speaks at national forums. His first book, "City of Rivals: Restoring the Glorious Mess of American Democracy," was released in Sept. 2014. A recipient of a BA from Brown University and a J.D. from Harvard University, Grumet lives in Bethesda, MD with his wife and children.
