Errol Barnett
Washington Correspondent, CBS News

Errol Barnett is a Washington correspondent for CBS News. He appears on "CBS Evening News With Scott Pelley," "CBS This Morning" and "Face the Nation." He regularly covers President Trump from the White House or from Palm Beach, Fla., when the president spends time at his Mar-A-Lago resort. Previously, Barnett anchored weekday editions of "CNN Newsroom" on CNN and CNN International. Earlier, the network deployed Barnett as a general assignment correspondent to South Africa and to the U.A.E as a midday anchor. He hosted CNNI's series "Inside Africa," for which he reported from 22 countries on the continent in 24 months. His work earned the program a Salute to Excellence award from the National Association of Black Journalists. Barnett holds a bachelor's degree in political science with a focus on international relations from the University of California, Los Angeles.
