Michael S. Burke is chairman and CEO of AECOM, a premier, fully-integrated infrastructure firm that designs, builds, finances and operates assets for governments, businesses and organizations in more than 150 countries and has been honored as one of Fortune magazine's World's Most Admired Companies. Since joining AECOM in 2005, Burke has been instrumental in growing the private company to a public firm with a staff of architects, engineers, designers, planners, scientists, and management and construction professionals focused on building a better world. During 2014, he led AECOM's purchase of URS Corp., an $11 billion global provider of engineering, construction and technical services. He also directed the company's IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, one of the largest engineering industry IPOs of all time. Burke serves on the boards of Children's Bureau, which provides child abuse prevention and treatment services to at-risk children, and LA 2024, the committee seeking to bring the 2024 Olympic Games to Los Angeles.
