Clifton Robbins is founder and CEO of Blue Harbour Group, L.P. The firm employs active strategies in the public markets, taking the role of lead minority stockholder and collaborating with managements and boards to build and unlock shareholder value. Robbins, who has more than 30 years of experience in investment management, was a managing member of General Atlantic Partners LLC, a global private equity firm, from 2000 to 2004. Before joining General Atlantic, he was a general partner of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., which he joined in 1987. He is a member of the boards of overseers and managers of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and chairs its funding and finance committee. Robbins also serves on the Stanford Graduate School of Business advisory council. He holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
