Andrew Scott is professor of economics and former deputy dean at London Business School. He is also a fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research and All Souls, Oxford. Scott’s research focuses on macroeconomics and longevity. Previously, he lectured at Harvard University, London School of Economics and Oxford University. His book, with Lynda Gratton, “The 100-Year Life,” is an Amazon best-seller, has been translated into nine languages and was runner-up for the FT/McKinsey Business Book of the Year Award 2016. Scott was listed by HR Magazine as one of the Most Influential Thinkers in 2016.Earlier, he was managing editor for the Royal Economic Society’s Economic Journal, scientific chair of the Euro Area Business Cycle Network and non-executive director for the UK’s Financial Services Authority (2009-2013). He is on the advisory board of the UK’s Office for Budget Responsibility and a member of the Cabinet Office Honours Committee.He has been an economic advisor to the UK government and the prime minister of Mauritius.
