Scarlet Fu is an anchor at Bloomberg. She appears on "Bloomberg Markets" each day and co-hosts Bloomberg Television's flagship weekday markets program, "What'd You Miss?" She has moderated discussion panels and interviewed financial and political leaders for Bloomberg TV. Fu covered the demise of Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers and the subsequent global credit crisis in 2008. Before joining Bloomberg TV in 2007, Fu was a U.S. stocks editor for Bloomberg News. Prior to that, she oversaw Bloomberg News coverage of Asian equities and reported on the handover of Hong Kong to Chinese rule in 1997. She began her journalism career at CNBC Asia in Hong Kong. Fu graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in history and concentration in Asian American Studies and studied Mandarin at Peking and National Taiwan Normal universities.
