Kerry Hannon

Author and Columnist; Expert in Career Transitions and Retirement


Kerry Hannon is an author, columnist and nationally recognized expert on career transitions, personal finance and retirement, especially for older women. She is a frequent TV and radio commentator. Hannon is a regular contributor to the New York Times, a contributing writer at Money magazine, AARP's Jobs Expert and Great Jobs columnist and a contributing editor and Second Verse columnist at Forbes. She writes for the PBS website NextAvenue.org as an expert and columnist on personal finance and careers for baby boomer women, and she was named the 2016 Women and Retirement expert by TIAA-CREF. She has written 10 books, including "Getting the Job You Want After 50," "What's Next? Finding Your Passion and Your Dream Job in Your Forties, Fifties and Beyond," and the national bestseller "Great Jobs for Everyone 50+: Finding Work That Keeps You Happy and Healthy . . . And Pays the Bills."
