Chief Advisor and Board Member, Uber
David Plouffe is chief advisor and a board member at Uber, which he joined in 2014. Previously, he was a senior advisor in the White House and served key roles in Barack Obama's two presidential campaigns, including campaign manager in the 2008 elections. He is on the board of the Barack Obama Foundation. Plouffe has managed political campaigns at all levels and consulted for Fortune 500 companies. He is the best-selling author of "The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lessons of Barack Obama's Historic Victory" and has contributed to ABC News and Bloomberg Television. Plouffe has won plaudits for his pioneering use of technology. In 2009, the Obama-Biden presidential campaign and Plouffe received the Titanium and Integrated Grand Prix Awards from the Cannes International Advertising Festival. In 2013, he was inducted into the American Association of Political Consultants' Hall of Fame. In 2012, GQ named him the third-most powerful person in Washington and, in 2010, he was No. 4 on Newsweek's list of new thought leaders.
