David M. Siegel
Co-Chairman, Two Sigma

David Siegel is co-chairman of Two Sigma, where he pursues a lifelong interest in building intelligent computational systems. Before co-founding Two Sigma, Siegel was chief technology officer and managing director at Tudor Investment Corp. Previously, he worked for D.E. Shaw & Co., where he had risen to become the company's first chief information officer. While at D.E. Shaw, Siegel founded and served as president of FarSight Financial Services, the world's first integrated personal financial services website. Siegel serves on the boards of Hamilton Insurance Group, the Scratch Foundation, NYC FIRST and NAF. In addition, he is a trustee of Carnegie Hall and serves on the executive advisory committee of the National Science Foundation/Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Brains, Minds & Machines, the Cornell Tech Board of Overseers and the Corporation Visiting Committee for the MIT Media Laboratory. Siegel is a graduate of Princeton University and holds a Ph.D. in computer science from MIT.
