Nouriel Roubini is co-founder and chairman of Roubini Global Economics and a professor of economics at New York University's Stern School of Business. His firm's website, Roubini.com, has been named one of the best economics Web resources by BusinessWeek, Forbes, the Wall Street Journal and the Economist. Previously he served as senior advisor to the undersecretary for international affairs at the U.S. Treasury Department and as senior economist for international affairs on the White House Council of Economic Advisors. The International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and numerous other prominent institutions have drawn upon Roubini's consulting expertise, and his views are widely cited by the media. He has published numerous theoretical, empirical and policy papers on international macroeconomic issues and co-authored several books, including 2010's "Crisis Economics: A Crash Course in the Future of Finance." Roubini holds an undergraduate degree from Bocconi University in Milan and a doctorate in economics from Harvard University.
